About Me
My husband and I have been living in Buenos Aires since April and are expecting to stay for a year, more or less. The opportunity to move here presented itself at the perfect time, and though we had never been to the city, we didn’t hesitate to make the move. So now we are here, near the beginning our our journey and eagerly anticipating what each day has in store for us.
I have deep admiration for a timeless building, elegant architecture and traditional urban planning. Living in Buenos Aires is very inspirational to me as an architectural designer and I feel blessed to have this opportunity to learn from the built world that surrounds me. It’s a welcome break from the day-to-day stresses of working at a large architectural firm, never having the security of knowing when or if a new project would come along or if another round of layoffs were lurking around the corner. As luck would have it, it was the layoff lurking around the corner that finally caught up to me. Shortly after I got the bad news, my husband got some good news… word of a project needing someone of his expertise to relocate long-term to the third largest metropolitan area of South America.
Bienvenido a Buenos Aires!
